The Biospherical BIC Spectroradiometer sensor has internal calibrations that can be viewed and changed.
Opening a terminal window
1. Connect the BIC sensor directly to a computer using a Biospherical UW-R to DB-9 cable.
2. Open iChart.
3. Click Advanced | Terminal.
4. Select the COM port to which the sensor is connected.
5. Ensure “9600 baud, N81, None” appears in the Details section after the selected COM port.
6. Select Direct connect as the connection type.
7. Uncheck the “Use iSIC” box if it is checked.
8. Click Connect.
View the calibration setup
In the white the screen that appears, type the following:
Note: You are unable to see what is being inputted and the enter key does not need to be used.

Note: “a” is the sensors tag. This letter must match that of the sensor which is connected
If this was entered correctly, calibration information will appear on screen. An example is provided below.
Changing the sensor to binary to allow for communication with LoggerLight Software
