X3 Environmental Data Logger
Features
Built for Extreme Conditions
The X3 Data Logger is built to handle harsh weather, floods, high winds and rough seas, and it stands alone; no additional protective housing needed. Completely sealed and enclosed in a marine anodized housing, the data logger continues to work even when submerged by rising water.
With an operating temperature range from -40°C to 70°C, it can be deployed in extreme heat and arctic conditions. A conformally coated circuit board offers an additional layer of protection against moisture and humidity.

Environmental Measurement Versatility
Connecting to water quality instruments, temperature strings, ADCPs, water level and flow sensors, rain gauges and weather stations is easier than ever before. There is no need for data logger programming with the X3. Simply connect sensors, apply power and access data on the cloud.
The X3 supports a long list of industry-standard SDI-12, RS-485, RS-232 digital sensors and a tipping bucket rain gauge input to customize each monitoring station. Thread-in connections facilitate sensor installation and eliminates complex wiring.
The built-in library supports most industry standard sensors and automatically initiates setup and configuration. Sensors not included in the library can be configured with a custom script.

Data Logger Power Options
Power options include solar powered battery packs, AC adapter, or any external 12 VDC supply. The SP15 and SP32 Solar Power Packs are preconfigured with a solar panel and the charge regulator and battery sealed in a watertight compartment.
Both the solar power packs and the X3 data logger mount directly to a 2-inch pipe masts. Advanced power management firmware combined with ultra-low sleep and run currents extend battery life and accommodates small power supplies.
Internal diagnostics closely monitor input power and operating current along with temperature and humidity. The system automatically alerts users of low power and changes in electrical current, which could indicate damage and other potential issues.

Wi-Fi, Cellular and Iridium Communications
Two-way telemetry options include global 4G LTE cellular, Iridium satellite, Wi-Fi or any combination. Multi-telemetry configurations are user configurable for primary mode and fallback mode. Common configurations include 4G cellular with Iridium fallback and WiFi with 4G fallback and then Iridium fallback.
A standalone X3 data logger is also available without telemetry. Data is periodically offloaded by direct connection to a field computer. All X3 data loggers store more than 1-year of data with 20 parameters sampling at 15-minute intervals.
