River Monitoring

NexSens river monitoring stations are designed to simplify the setup and operation of real-time water quality, hydrology, and weather measurement systems. These streamside or in-river systems offer valuable data for research, assessment, regulation, and environmental impact studies.
Deployment Options

Systems can be deployed on river banks, bridge pilings, and other structures. Flexible deployment options ensure that real-time monitoring equipment can be installed at even the most challenging monitoring sites.

Mast configurations can be mounted above flood stage to accommodate all data logging and communications equipment, simplifying mounting and installation.
Data Collection

Analog and digital inputs on NexSens data loggers accommodate multi-parameter sensors or various combinations of individual sensors. Data is sampled and logged with a time and date stamp.

Radio, cellular, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Iridium satellite telemetry options deliver real-time data from local and remote locations to your computer or mobile device.
Multi-Parameter Sonde

Water quality sondes house, protect, and connect to multiple underwater sensors simultaneously, with options including temperature, conductivity, pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorophyll, and blue-green algae.

The NexSens AccuStage water level sensor is a completely self-contained vented pressure transducer. A vent tube in the cable automatically corrects for changes in barometric pressure, offering +/- 0.1% full-scale accuracy.
Side-Looking Current Meter

The Argonaut-SL is a side-looking acoustic Doppler current meter that mounts along the side of a river and measures bi-directional velocity, in addition to water level.

Using iChart Live and the optional WQData Live Web datacenter, project members can quickly access real-time water quality data and make informed operational decisions as needed.
Alarm Notification

Automated alarm notifications can alert project personnel when parameters exceed a set threshold. Systems can send alerts via SMS text message or e-mail.
