Building a real-time current monitoring system does not have to be a difficult endeavor. NexSens buoys and wireless communication capabilities provide a plug-and-play solution for any project.
Inland Lakes Buoy
The MB-300 data buoy is designed for long-term current monitoring applications. Three five-watt, solar-charged battery packs provide continuous power, extending deployments and minimizing site visits.
Small Open-Water Buoy
The MB-100 data buoy provides a less conspicuous floating platform with alkaline battery power. The platform is ideal for short-term or portable current monitoring applications.
The NexSens SDL submersible data logger includes five sensor ports to accommodate connection to various sensors. Data is sampled and logged with a time and date stamp.
Radio, cellular, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Iridium satellite telemetry options deliver real-time data from local and remote locations to your computer or mobile device.
3D Current Meter
The Argonaut-XR is a three-beam acoustic Doppler current meter that mounts to the bottom of a lake or river and measures water velocities in 3D.
Sea floor platforms with a Gimbal stabilizer are used to keep the current meter in a fixed position for accurate measurements. Select from marine-grade aluminum or Type 316 stainless steel.
Fluorometers, multi-parameter sondes, weather sensors, depth sonar, and many other sensors are easily added to the system.
Software and Data Management
Using iChart Live software and optional WQData Live Web datacenter, project members can quickly access real-time current meter data and make informed operational decisions as needed.
Automated alarm notifications can alert project personnel when parameters exceed a set threshold. Systems can send alerts via SMS text message or e-mail.
