Weighing just over 30 lbs, this buoy is easily deployed by one person from any size vessel.

Attach a single-point mooring to the stainless steel bottom eye and throw it overboard. The buoy will right itself and begin collecting data.

Safely hidden beneath the buoy hood is the powerful SDL500 submersible data logger.

Built to last


Constructed of cross-linked polyethylene foam flotation and a heavy polymer skin with an indestructible stainless steel frame, the MB-100 is designed for years of service and is built to withstand the roughest of seas.

Unlimited sensor connections


The SDL500 data logger fits securely inside the buoy and interfaces with:
   
   -Water quality sensors & sondes
   -Temperature strings
   -Doppler velocity meters
   -Underwater light sensors
   -Fluorometers

It is configured with five sensor ports for connection to industry-standard sensors.

Wireless communications


For telemetry applications, a waterproof antenna is securely hidden beneath the buoy hood.

Communication options include:
   -Radio-to-shore
   -Cellular
   -Iridium satellite
